Imagine you are a journalist following a lead your editor gave you about a “situation” down in Mexico. Take notes on the events of the novel as they unfold as though you are preparing to write the BIG article for this month's edition. Remember - you are writing as a journalist and not writing a summary.
You are required to write a total of five posts on your blog as you read the novel. The novel is basically divided into three sections, so will you have: two posts for Section I; two posts for Section II; and one post for Section III. Each post should equal about a half page, single-spaced - or about two to three paragraphs each.
In addition to your five posts, you will reply six times to your classmates' posts. You must reply to two students for each section of the novel - that is, two replies for Section I, two for Section II, and two for Section III. Please make an attempt to reply to different students during this process.
Due Dates for Postings
Section I – Two Posts: due Mon. 3/11
Two replies to classmates: due Thurs. 3/14
Section II – Two Posts: due Fri. 3/15
Two replies to classmates: due Tues. 3/19
Section III – One Post: due Wed. 3/20
Two replies to classmates: due Fri. 3/22
Remember - your posts must be received by 11:59PM of the due date to be accepted. If you miss the due date, you will not receive any credit for that post. In addition, you will be graded on the quality of your posts and responses. Have fun!
